I’ll be making the pilgrimage to the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market this month. I look forward to networking, doing outdoor industry recon for clients, meeting with media, catching up with friends and PR and marketing colleagues, and making new acquaintances. It’s the gathering of the tribe. I can’t wait to go!
I’ll also be walking the Salt Palace Convention Center aisles on behalf of an exciting, outdoorsy non-profit called The Trail Masons. According to their website:
The Trail Masons are a not-for-profit organization dedicated to maintaining and building sustainable trail systems for non-motorized activities. We work with all off pavement user groups such as trail running, hiking, mountain biking, equestrian, backpacking and paddling etc.
Volunteer groups like the Trail Masons are critical for creating opportunities for people to engage in outdoor activities that minimally affect the landscape. If you enjoy hiking and running on beautiful trails, make sure others can too. Contact the Trail Masons and volunteer for trail duty!
